Using the station’s app on your smart device you can play your local news any time of the day or night. When you receive television over an antenna you have access to higher quality video and several channels on the same broadcast.

Internet video is where you watch the video you want to watch, any time and almost anywhere you can get the Internet. For example, Youtube’s instructional videos have enabled people across the globe with new skills, professionals, hobbyist, instructors, students, and much more. Dedicated websites provide professionally made video plus individual support.

RSS is a system that lets your media software check for remote updates, then download those updates. A few times an hour your media software, often called a podcatcher, will scan you subscriptions and download shows that you have subscribed to. Other uses for RSS are newsreaders, they check for the new post on websites and put those new post in you in box.

Sometimes the best way to follow your activities is with a dedicated app. Each device you use will most likely have a store where you select apps for movies, news, music, and more. These are usually dedicated to a single company and sometimes require a subscription.
